Now, the company is launching the Craftsman Project, an homage to traditional craft that has stood the test of time. An offset from the brand's "Casual Heritage" collection, the first installment of the project sees Norman Walsh team up with a number of British textile and fabric companies.

They include wool manufacturer Abraham Moons, technical and sports fabric company A.W. Hainsworth, textile manufacturer Mallalieus of Delph, iconic tweed company Harris Tweed and Ventile, which creates all-weather cotton fabrics.

The companies' fabrics will be combined with well-crafted leathers, nubucks and suedes, for styles that have been "carefully constructed to encapsulate the values and quality of both the materials used, and the process undertaken manufacturing the shoes," Norman Walsh said.

The first launch of the Craftsman Project will be in AW2016, continuing through into SS2017.
