With winter soon upon us, the specialists of the down jacket are getting their arguments ready. Canadian company Nobis, with its coats, parkas and down jackets exploits the virtues of down and Canada goose feathers, is looking to Paris to affirm its potential in Europe.

The brand, via its French distributor, R-Tex Vision, is thus setting up shop in an 860 square feet, two-storey space at 4 rue Ferdinand Duval to highlight its collections, which hold a premium position. Following a pop-up store in Harrods last year, Nobis will open its doors in Paris this 8 October until 28 February.

The inside of the store, which was previously occupied by concept store 44 44, which sold DL 1961 American jeans, features a decor of ice dreamt up by artist Little K. This artist has notably worked for Printemps in the past.

By choosing the Marais for its location, in a street perpendicular to the Rue des Rosiers, Nobis is searching to improve its visibility among Parisians but also among international tourists. For the moment, it has its sights set on some twenty points of sale in the French market, including the Haussmann Galeries Lafayette.

In contrast, the brand has a good reputation in North America and opened its first Asian boutique in South Korea last season.
