Published
Jun 21, 2013

Current Nike vice president of global brand and category management Trevor Edwards has been promoted to brand president, effective July 1. Edwards will be replacing Charlie Denson, who served as brand president since 2006, as he retires after 34 years at the group. Denson will remain at the company until January 2014 to ensure a smooth transition.

Other top management changes are also on the cards. Eric Sprunk, vice-president of merchandising and product, has been promoted to chief operating officer of Nike Inc. and will oversee production and sourcing at the group. Jeanne Jackson, president of direct-to-consumer, will take over Sprunk’s former responsibilities and will move to the new post of president of product and merchandising with oversight of footwear, apparel and equipment. Current president of new business development Thomas Clark will be promoted to president of innovation. All will still report to Mark Parker, president and chief executive office at Nike Inc.
