Nike and Elle UK team up for women's football campaign
The England Lionesses are about to roar. The country’s women’s footfall squad members are to star in a comprehensive ad campaign with Elle UK magazine and sportswear giant and kit sponsor Nike.
Players will take over the title's covers for its 'Everyone's Game' campaign, which launches ahead of the England-hosted Uefa Women’s Euro 2022 Championship in July.
The campaign will showcase the people driving change in the women’s game, off the pitch as well as on. It includes three limited-edition Elle covers featuring women leading those changes and includes a 16-page feature by Felicia Pennant, founder and editor-in-chief of Season Zine, the football and fashion platform.
The campaign will take in print, digital and video.
Footballers Lucy Bronze, Demi Stokes, Lotte Wubben-Moy and Beth Mead will spearhead the campaign.
It will showcase England’s players dressed in the team’s kit sponsor Nike clothing as well as in the new England strip to be used in the tournament.
There are also videos celebrating the growth of women’s football. Additions to the campaign can be found on Elle UK’s website and social media channels, and will be seen in the Nike Town London flagship store on Oxford Circus.
Publisher Hearst UK’s chief commercial officer Jane Wolfson said: “Elle has a long history of championing women, so we are thrilled to partner with Nike on this inspiring multi-platform Euro 2022 project to celebrate the Women’s Euro 2022 Championship being held here in the UK as well as shining a light on all those striving for change in the game.”
