After already collaborating with Nike back in 2014 on the Riccardo Tisci x Nike Air Force 1 RT footwear collection, Tisci has returned to the brand to create this time both footwear and apparel.

Set to be launched in two phases, both collections will offer different aesthetics while still combining Tisci's bold and creative design with Nike's innovative technology.

For the first collection Tisci has employed his signature black and white color palette for a strong monochrome look, while the second incorporates vivid colors and striking kaleidoscope and floral prints inspired by flowers from Oregon, the home of Nike; Taranto, Italy, the home of Tisci; and Rio de Janeiro, the home of this year's biggest sporting event.

The 2016 Olympic games is also the inspiration behind the collection's innovative use of technology, with Tisci incorporating Nike performance technologies such as Dri-FIT and Flyknit and performance-inspired shapes for a striking and modern silhouette with ultimate comfort.

Commenting on the two complementary sides to the collection, style and performance, NikeLab Senior Design Director Jarrett Reynolds said, "This collection represents an entirely new way of thinking for Riccardo. It is engineered for performance, which is unfamiliar territory for him. But that's the beauty of collaboration -- we can help bring Riccardo into the world of sport performance, which is our expertise. On the other hand, Riccardo's vision pushed our design to a place we wouldn't have arrived at on our own."

The first capsule collection from NikeLab x RT: Training Redefined launches July 7, with the second phase set to launch in August.
