“Menswear is a key strategic priority for New Look and the opening of the menswear standalone stores represents a natural next step for us,” said Roger Wightman, Chief Creative Officer of the retailer. “We are very proud of the improvements made to our offer over the past two years – the opening of menswear standalone stores will allow us to more fully showcase the enhanced quality of our product ranges.”

The £117 million retail and leisure destination, Friars Walk, launched in November 2015 and is anchored by a 90,000 sq ft Debenhams department store. New Look Men will also join other fashion and footwear retailers such as H&M, Next, Jack & Jones, Topshop and Schuh.

The trend-led brand, which was bought by Brait in May last year, announced a brand refresh with the launch of new format menswear-only stores in the third quarter of 2015. Since then, it has opened New Look Men shops in cities such as Manchester, Birmingham, Wigan and Portsmouth.

The retailer also recently tapped former H&M menswear division manager Christopher Englinde, who joined New Look as menswear director.
