New Look opens menswear store in Nottingham

Published
Nov 28, 2016

UK fashion retailer New Look has opened a menswear store in Nottingham in a 1,600-sq-ft space in the Intu Victoria Centre. The move follows the brand’s expansion into standalone menswear stores last year.

Menswear only stores are a key part of New Look's growth plan

The company claims to be the number one retailer for women aged under 35 (based on Kantar Worldpanel data) and appears to be targeting the same status for men.

It said it sees menswear as a key strategic priority for its long-term growth plans with the Nottingham opening the latest in a major expansion drive. Earlier this month it opened in Maidstone’s Fremlin Walk mall and is also adding New Look Men in Shrewsbury, Exeter, Maidstone, and Derby before the end of the year.

The company said it has had a good response to its menswear-only and as a result is also adding to its existing menswear store at the Intu Trafford Centre, increasing the space available at the same time as it expands its womenswear store there.

The retailer also has plans to move into male grooming products and activewear.
