New Balance unveils first football commercial

New Balance intends to flex its football muscles (or soccer for you/us Americans). Having announced its withdrawal of the brand Warrior in favor of the New Balance Football category, the American brand is now putting together a marketing strategy.

It had already unveiled its team of professional players from the English league, including Aaron Ramsey, Adnan Januzaj, Samir Nasri, Vincent Kompany, Marouane Fellaini, Jesus Navas and Fernando Reges. And now, they can be seen in the brand’s first football commercial. 

For the ad, New Balance enlisted director Marie Schuller, who has recently worked with Versus Versace, Selfridges and Givenchy, and here produces a high-energy, urban and digital world.

The brand, which sponsors Liverpool FC, FC Porto, FC Seville, Stoke City FC, and, since a few weeks ago, FC Celtic, should unveil its jersey for Liverpoool in early April. Its first shoes will become available in July.
