Net-A-Porter x Loewe debut highlights importance of collaborations

Net-A-Porter has linked up with LVMH’s Loewe to launch a collaboration capsule called The Crafted Collection. It’s signifiant both as it underlines the ongoing importance of exclusives and collaborations, and also because it’s Loewe’s first-ever exclusive capsule created for a retail partner.

“Bringing to life contemporary design through unrivalled craftsmanship”, the collection features “standout and distinctive pieces which encapsulate Loewe’s unique appeal”, we’re told.

Described as “the ultimate winter wardrobe” by the e-tailer’s chief buying and merchandising officer Lea Cranfield, there are 25 pieces in total with a focus on “rich texture and comfort” to showcase all elements of Loewe’s offering.

That means Jonathan Anderson and his team have created ready-to-wear, bags, shoes and homewares. There are super-luxe rib knits and twin-sets, shearling outerwear, a wool and cashmere over-shirt, a textured-wool duffle coat, felt double-handle bags, ‘Elephant’ baskets and blankets in neutral tones.

Additionally, there are shearling slippers and the brand’s signature Flamenco bag with shearling details, both in an exclusive khaki colourway.

It comes with a creative campaign that was inspired by a Parisian artist’s studio and that has been photographed against “a modern and textured backdrop, featuring ready-to-wear, accessories and homeware, to capture the playful, graphic and elevated style of the collection”.
