Luxury fashion retailer Net-A-Porter, looking to lock in more customers through personalisation, has updated its iOS software so that it can be used to deliver personalised shoppable content.

The online company, part of the Yoox Net-A-Porter Group, said the new iOS app will offer a smoother experience, more content through a new shoppable editorial platform, and faster transactions.

It incorporates YNAP’s in-house design system Hive, which is built on modular and reusable components, enabling the group to introduce new features faster. Over time, the new data analytics tool will enable the delivery of even more personalised content, tailored to the needs and preferences of every customer.

Alison Loehnis, president for YNAP’s luxury division, commented: “The new design is smooth and intuitive, giving our world-leading brands an even more visual platform.

“As a mobile-led business, always seeking to innovate, the technology allows us to be even smarter behind the scenes, meaning we can give everyone a unique Net-a-Porter experience that will be further personalised over time.”

Mr Porter, the group’s menswear destination, has also recently upgraded its app using the same Hive system, which means that both e-tailers will share a common design language and the ability to roll out new features simultaneously.
