Natalie Acatrini steps down from German label Strenesse

Published
Jul 20, 2015

Creative director Natalie Acatrini leaves the Bavaria-based label after the completion of one last spring/summer collection. Thus ends the designer’s two year contract with the premium German label, Strenesse.

As part of a restructuring plan, the company is looking to establish a strong design team, stepping away from the usual scheme where the creative director takes the lead. Though the company faced an insolvency order in 2014, it saw a return to profitability the first half of this year.

Acatrini began her tenure with Strenesse in February 2013, covering the womenswear, menswear and accessories lines. The designer had previously worked at Jil Sander and Hugo Boss, and developed her own namesake brand in partnership with Escada. The next steps for Acatrini are still undisclosed.
