German eyewear designer Mykita has teamed with experimental Japanese jewellery line Ambush -- founded by hip-hop artist, Verbal and his partner and graphic designer, Yoon -- for a collaborative sunglass release.

The new Mykita X Ambush eyewear hits Japan in December - Mykita

Dubbed 'Verbal', the new Mykita X Ambush frame features reversed mirrored lenses to "present an upside down view to the world," according to Mykita, in a statement.

Made of stainless steel, the new frame's hero style point is a hefty top bar, which sits atop the round rims, creating an industrial, geometric aesthetic. Or  “brow bar sunglasses turn pop art," as described by Verbal.

The collaborative model comes in three colourways: shiny back/black with reverse black lenses, gold/red with reverse gold and silver/blue with reverse silver.

Founded in 2008 by creatives Yoon and Verbal, Ambush creates unisex jewellery cut with a unique Tokyo aesthetic for a studio in the Japanese capital.

Mykita is a German designer eyewear haus, designing luxury sun and optical frames for both men and women. It is based in Berlin.

The Mykita and AMBUSH model Verbak pre-launches in Tokyo early December at the Mykita store in Tokyo, as well as the Ambush workshop and online at mykita.com. More stores will stock the eyewear at a later date, said Mykita online.
