Further Morphe stores are planned to open in Nottingham and Newcastle later this year.

The beauty brand is chasing UK growth after securing a huge following on Instagram, with close to 10 million followers, including Instagram, helping it promote its cosmetics offering for millennials.

Mark Spillman, Morphe general manager in the EMEA region said: “Manchester Arndale’s prominent city centre location and considerable annual footfall of more than 40 million makes it the perfect spot for Morphe.”

Morphe will open a 4,500 sq ft store on New Cannon Street, where it will benefit from the centre’s strong annual footfall. The shopping centre is also home to prestigious beauty brands including Kiko Milano, Inglot, Lush, Rituals and The Body Shop.

Colin Flinn, regional managing director at Intu commented on behalf of the centre’s joint owners: “We’re really excited that Morphe has chosen Manchester Arndale as the destination for its first store in the city, bringing a new and innovative beauty experience to Manchester and further strengthening the centre’s fashion and beauty credentials.”

Morphe has currently three stores in the UK, including the new openings at Bullring in Birmingham and Liverpool One in Liverpool. The first location opened in Westfield Stratford City last year.

The Instagram sensation is also launching in Boots next month.
