H&M is continuing its ambitious store rollout programme and said on Wednesday that early next year, Scandinavian fashion brand Monki will return to Belgium to open a new concept store in Brussels.

The two-storey 340 sq m store will be located on the city’s premiere shopping street Avenue Louise.

And the company said that its “exclusive Monki World interior will lead customers on a magical mystery tour of evolving forms and glittering reflections. With rainbow coloured fitting rooms and sea of scallops tables, the transformed space will offer customers a unique story-telling experience.”

Belgium is a key market for the brand having seen stores opening in Ghent and Antwerp in the past year.

And the company will also continue to roll out Weekday in that country in 2019 with two more stores. The first will open in early spring in Leuven, while the second store in Sint-Pieters Nieuwstraat, Ghent will open in late summer. That will bring the Weekday total to five stores in Belgium.

The brand will be entering new countries next year too. It will open its first stores in Iceland and Luxembourg with a debut in Smáralind, Iceland’s largest shopping centre, located in Kópavogur, in the greater Reykjavik area. The first store in Luxembourg will be in the new La Cloche d’Or Shopping Center, in the La Grande Région and at the heart of the new Luxembourg city quarter.
