Moncler Gamme Bleu launches womenswear collection

Moncler continues to broaden its horizons by developing a women’s version of its Gamme Bleu menswear line, proposing a new interpretation of its classic offering, focused, as always, on down and outerwear. The chic ready-to-wear men’s line Moncler Gamme Bleu was origninally launched in 2009 and is designed by American Thom Browne.
The Fall/Winter 2014-15 collection had an Argyle motif, the famous Scottish diamond-shaped pattern associated with the sport. It was seen here in all the pieces of this unisex display: jackets in fur or tweed, Bermuda shorts, leggings, socks, gloves, fringed shoes, ties, and more. The color palette played with the traditional blue, white and red, but also with greys and a pink/green/black combination. Feminine style from Moncler Gamme Bleu
The brand’s other premium label, Moncler Gamme Rouge, dedicated to women’s ready-to-wear, will continue to be designed by Italian Giambattista Valli. Compared with Gamme Bleu, which remains the sportier counterpart, Gamme Rouge takes a more couture approach. A menswear collection for Moncler Gamme Rouge is now out of the questiosn, which would give the company an even greater opportunity to expand its high-end offering. “This is about two totally different interpretations of the Moncler world,” the company emphasized.
