Molton Brown to launch e-commerce website in 2019
British luxury beauty and fragrance brand Molton Brown is planning to get into omnichannel retail in India with the launch of its exclusive website next year.
The company will also strengthen its offline presence with the addition of 15 stores across India and is expected to spend around Rs 68 crore on its store expansion over the next five years.
Molton Brown considers India a priority market for growth and expects it to contribute significantly to its global sales. Currently, the UK is the highest contributor to the company’s global sales with over 60 percent followed by the U.S. with 20 percent.
“Molton Brown plans to start its own e-commerce website in the next 12 months. India is our most recent market and we are focusing on expanding here. Priority market for expansion for Molton Brown is Asia and Europe,” Molton Brown’s global president Mark Johnson told PTI.
Molton Brown is a luxury bath and beauty brand from the UK and has stores across the globe.
The company entered the Indian market in September this year through a partnership with Berkeley Beauty Brands Pvt Ltd and opened its first store in the national capital, Delhi.
