The agency said the ‘Models 1 50th Scholarship for BA Fashion’ will pay the final year tuition fees of one “exceptional” Home or EU student, and provide up to 8 fashion models for their final catwalk show, plus one model for the final year collection photography.

The winning recipient will be selected based on both academic merit and financial need.

“On behalf of Central Saint Martins, I would like to thank Models 1 for sharing our vision to provide fashion designers with an outstanding education.  The Models 1 50th Scholarships for BA Fashion will give designers the opportunity develop new skills and realise their creative potential,” said Sarah Gresty, course leader, BA Fashion at Central Saint Martins.

The scholarship will celebrate 50 years since the creation of Models 1. Over the years, the modelling agency has expanded to represent not only female models, but also men’s, and talent across new categories such as Digital Influencer and Curve.

“The British Fashion Industry is something that Models 1 are proud to be associated with and we realise the significance of encouraging and producing exceptional design talent of tomorrow, so we are thrilled to collaborate with Central Saint Martins on a scholarship in support of the BA Fashion degree course,” commented Pauline Rendell, director and head of accounts at Models 1.

“This wonderful partnership also coincides with Models 1’s 50th birthday and we cannot think of a better way to commemorate our involvement in fashion.”
