Missguided changes official company name after Frasers takeover

Missguided’s official company name has changed to MGL Realisations (2022) Limited, documents filed with Companies House this week have shown. But the business will continue to trade as Missguided.

The name change comes after the firm collapsed into administration and was bought by acquisition-hungry Frasers Group for £20 million in early June.

The company remains Manchester-based and it’s unlikely that the name change will mean much to its customers.

Missguided has been through some tough times in recent years but now has a chance under the Frasers banner to get back to the prominent position it once occupied in UK fast fashion.

And it will continue to be run by its founder Nitin Passi. He’d stepped down from the company’s helm in April, before its administration filing. But Frasers announced a surprise comeback after it took control with Passi reinstalled as Missguided CEO.

Passi said at the time: “Frasers Group has an unrivalled platform and fantastic operational know-how, giving Missguided a solid foundation on which we can build a successful future. I am acutely aware of the impact Missguided’s administration has had on our stakeholders and I am committed to rebuilding their trust.”
