Michael Kors and Ellesse launch ski capsule, fronted by Emily Ratajkowski

Michael Kors has linked up with Pentland’s Ellesse brand for a second capsule, this time to create a skiwear collection. It follows the earlier collab and comes with a new campaign fronted by Emily Ratajkowski (who starred in the previous collab campaign), along with model David Agbodji.

Michael Kors x Ellesse

The campaign’s “chic après-ski images bring the collection's vibrant, sporty and glamorous designs to life,” we’re told.

Shot by photographer Daniel Clavero, it was styled by Mel Ottenberg, editor-in-chief of cult pop magazine Interview.

The capsule launches globally on Tuesday and offers a vivid take on ski resort style”.

Michale Kors said that it evokes “the bold attitude and confident cool of a day on the slopes” and is emblazoned “with a one-of-a-kind insignia that fuses Michael Kors' iconic logo with Ellesse's tennis-and-ski-inspired one”.

The designer added: “Ellesse is a trailblazer in bringing high style to the world of ski, and I’ve always designed clothing and accessories that combine glamour and ease. I’m thrilled with the capsule of luxe, glamorous sportswear that we’ve collaborated on — it works perfectly whether you’re at the ski lodge or hitting the city streets.”

The palette is in keeping with the fresh colour combinations of the first Michael Kors x Ellesse collaboration, with the latter's signature palette of fiery oranges and reds juxtaposed with classic shades of navy blue and crisp white.

Included are colour-blocked pullovers, jackets and puffers, plus striped track pants, leggings, mittens and ribbed beanies “to tap into classic ski style”. Also included are Kors’ Hudson backpack, Slater sling pack and Hudson tote.
