Montreal’s McCord Museum will pay tribute to all things Montreal through a number of exhibitions in 2017, in honour of the city’s 375th anniversary.

Among the upcoming exhibitions, Fashioning Expo 67 will immerse visitors in the world of Expo 67 and Canadian fashion of the time. The exhibitions will highlight how Canada’s fashion scene was able to thrive during the International Exposition, which received over 50 million visits.

“This event gave Montreal designers and the Canadian fashion milieu the perfect opportunity to shine on the international fashion stage thanks to futuristic fashion magazine spreads shot on the site, locally designed uniforms for hostesses, and live fashion shows, such as The Great Canadian Fashion Caper, with music, dancing and roller-skating models,” the McCord Museum says in a news statement.

Photographs as well as garments and accessories will be on display as part of the exhibition.

The exhibition will open March 17 and will run until October 1, 2017. The McCord Museum is located at 690, Sherbrooke Street West, Montreal.
