Maya Jama is new Rimmel London global ambassador

Rimmel London has named Maya Jama as its new brand ambassador. The TV and radio presenter has a very high profile in the UK in particular but will also front the brand globally.

The Coty-owned company said she’s “a brilliant fit” and that her “playful spirit and authentic personality perfectly reflect the Rimmel ethos of celebrating inner beauty and individualism. Whilst her vibrant energy and easy-going warmth make her utterly relatable to Rimmel customers everywhere”.

And it’s that relatable element that’s always key for the brand that has a large constituency of customers who are among the most beauty savvy consumers around.

The 28 year-old has been making an impact as the host of ITV2's Love Island, one of the most successful shows produced by the commercial broadcaster.

Born in Bristol, Jama moved to London at the age of 16 and that London link is also key for the brand. It has a history of selecting ambassadors known for their London links and London style.

Jama said: “I'm incredibly proud to be following in the footsteps of the amazing icons who've brilliantly represented Rimmel London, such as Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne and Adwoa Aboah. It's like a dream come true.”
