Matalan launches own-brand beauty range

Matalan is the latest fashion chain to expand its product universe with the launch an own-brand makeup line this month.

Fashion retailers including Asos, Boohoo, H&M and Zara have ventured into the makeup market in recent years, and even Amazon joined the game earlier this year with its first ever colour cosmetics range through the Find fashion label.

Matalan’s own beauty brand, titled Beauty Collective, includes beauty essentials from eyeshadows, foundations and lipsticks to more trend-led formulas such as liquid highlighters. False eyelashes and nails complete the range.

Announcing the new line, the retailer said: “We’re launching our very own beauty brand, Beauty Collective in stores across the country for all you makeup addicts out there.

“Whether you’re into barefaced beauty or a dedicated follower of glam, we have contour kits, shimmering bronzers and slick glosses to satisfy every mood.”

The range will be available in selected stores in cities and towns including Bracknell, Liverpool, Southend, Swindon, Truro, Leicester, Plymouth, Cardiff and Newcastle.

The British retailer also sells clothing for men, women and children, homeware, light fittings and suitcases.
