The club’s new store will cater for its army of fans across the city offering merchandise ranging from the team kits, including the recently released 2023/24 home kit and training apparel, plus hats, scarves, and memorabilia.

To further celebrate the opening and recent league title win, the Premier League trophy will be on display in the store from 9am on Friday until 6pm on Sunday, allowing fans to have their photo taken with the silverware. In addition to the trophy, customers this weekend will have also have access to giveaways and be some of the first fans to experience the new digital activities within the store, including the ‘Meet the Players’ interactive video wall.

Steve Gray, Head of European Retail Asset Management at Global Mutual, said: “Football is intrinsic to Manchester’s unique identity [and] the arrival of Manchester City demonstrates our commitment to delivering a vibrant retail destination that chimes with local shoppers as well as visitors from further afield who are looking to immerse themselves in the city’s culture.

"With such a significant name joining the centre it’s clear there is continued demand for well-placed retail units, and we are delighted to see confidence in Manchester Arndale’s long-term performance.”

Manchester Arndale is one of the UK’s largest city centre shopping malls, welcoming over 42 million visitors in an average year. It boasts an impressive line-up of more than 200 stores and restaurants, including international, national, and local brands.

Manchester City’s club shop will sit alongside Arndale’s sports and leisure stores including Footlocker, JD Sports, and Sports Direct’s newly-opened flagship store in the former BHS unit.

Set to be a major driver of footfall for the centre, Manchester City’s arrival follows a string of new retail lettings at Manchester Arndale to popular brands such as Gilly Hicks, Clarks, and lifestyle beauty retailer Miniso.
