The fashion house founded by the Lebanese designer, Rabih Kayrouz, has officially been granted haute couture status, the label announced via social media. As of January 2019, the fashion house joins the haute couture calendar as an official, permanent member.

While less than 20 major fashion houses currently hold haute couture status, Maison Rabih Kayrouz has joined the select club, officially becoming a permanent fixture on the haute couture show schedule. Haute couture status will ensure the label added prestige in the world of luxury fashion.

Maison Rabih Kayrouz joins a handful of fashion houses that have already earned haute couture status, such as Chanel, Dior, Alexandre Vauthier, Alexis Mabille, Jean Paul Gaultier, Givenchy, Maison Margiela, Schiaparelli and Julien Fournié.

The next round of haute couture shows, for the spring/summer 2019 season, will be held January 21-24 in Paris. Several guest members will be joining the permanent members this season, including Balmain, which returns to haute couture, as well as Ulyana Sergeenko, Iris van Herpen, Ralph & Russo and Zuhair Murad.
