The fragrance house co-founded by nose Francis Kurkdjian presents "Gentle Fluidity," a new kind of fragrance duo that uses the same ingredients to create two distinct olfactory personalities.

"Gentle Fluidity" - Maison Francis Kurkdjian

The two scents work for both men and women and are due out in mid-January/early February.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian is starting the year with a pair of gender-neutral fragrances dubbed "Gentle Fluidity," a single name denoting two distinct olfactory personalities created with the same list of ingredients. This bold innovation delivers a musky oriental -- called "gentle Fluidity" -- and a woody aromatic -- called "Gentle fluidity."

The perfumer focused on six key ingredients among the 49 used to create this new fragrance duo. The differences between the pair's olfactory personalities therefore rely on differences in dosing and specific effects sought by the perfumer.

With its silver-colored cap and lettering, the "Gentle fluidity" Eau de Parfum has fresh and vibrant aromas, characterized by the emphasis of juniper berry essence, nutmeg essence and ambery woods. This is joined, to a lesser extent, by notes of coriander seed, musks and vanilla.

Gold is the shade of choice for "gentle Fluidity," a more enveloping scent emphasizing coriander seed essence, musks and a vanilla accord.

The two fragrances are due out mid-January/early February.
