Marks and Spencer has worked together with Dutch/English fashion design duo Wouter Baartmans & Amber Siegel to create a collection of winter layering staples for men, which lands in stores and online on Thursday 27 October.

The M&S &Baartmans & Siegelcollection launches this week - M&S

The M&S & Baartmans & Siegel collection comprises 12 styles that capture the distinct design aesthetic of the menswear label, tailored for the M&S customer. Inspired by futuristic architecture, the pieces feature classic M&S silhouettes in bespoke fabrics and trims.

A muted colour palette of black, charcoal and navy, gives the collection an elegant, effortless feel while highlighting the use of texture, structure and detail. Textures include quilting on detachable linings and suede detail on trainers.

Wouter Baartmans & Amber Siegel commented: "M&S has such a history in quality menswear and working with the in house design team has been an exciting experience; creating a collection that fuses our dynamic design with M&S staples. We are looking forward to seeing them in stores up and down the nation."

The designers met while working at Dutch fashion house Viktor & Rolf. They launched their menswear label in 2010 and have showcased their sharply tailored collections at London Collections Men.

James Doidge, Menswear Head of Design for Marks & Spencer said: "Amber Siegel and Wouter Baartmans are renowned British designers who are widely recognised for their craftsmanship and love of design, and after seeing their work we knew they would be a great fit for us.”

Prices for the collection start from £39.50 for a white shirt
