Together with M&S' in-house design team, Hare has created a 13-piece menswear collection that is inspired by vintage travel and botanical scenes. Hare used to be the Head of Design at Nigel Cabourn and launched his own menswear line in 2015. He was shortlisted for Scottish Designer of the Year in 2015, and has shown at London Collections Men.

The M&S & Kestin Hare collaboration references tropical leaves, and Hare hand-drew all the prints used on the clothes, trims and linings. The collection includes T-shirts, shorts, jackets, blazers and a shirt and the colour palette features bright greens, complemented with blue, red and purple hues.

The partnership with M&S has helped support the opening of Hare's fifth UK store, which will open in Soho this autumn. The designer says: “I am delighted to be part of the ‘M&S &’ project, and to collaborate with a British brand with such a heritage in quality menswear. I have always loved Marks & Spencer, and coming together with their in house design team to create the exclusive summer collection which offers something new to the M&S customer, has been a fantastic experience. Due to the support of this project, I am now thrilled to be opening my fifth stand-alone store, and my first in central London, in Soho.”

Scott Fyfe, Menswear Trading Director for Marks & Spencer comments; “Kestin Hare is a true craftsman and was the ideal choice for the first in our  ‘M&S &’ menswear collaborations. Kestin has built a reputation for himself within the menswear market, with a unique point of view and a love of design. He is a great fit with M&S’ core values of quality and craftsmanship, delivering great attention to detail and fabric choices for our customers."

Hare's M&S & collection retails from £29.50 to £149. It's the third in the M&S S series - the previous two are Jourdan Dunn's kidswear collection and Alexa Chung's "Archive by Alexa". All three M&S & collaborations are available now.
