Just 12 months after its relaunch, M.C.Overalls, a daily essentials brand dating back to 1908, will be stocked in luxury retailer Harvey Nichols’s Knightsbridge store from Monday 23 July.

Showcased in the menswear department, the brand’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection will feature a range of daily staples including polycotton workpants, snap-shirts, coach jackets, reflective jackets and sweats as well as its signature overalls.

The overall is indeed central to the brand's identity, which began making surplus uniforms for the British Army in WW2 and durable uniforms for Britain’s workers in the 1900s. The original ethos of making a uniform for the contemporary was revived last year, when the brand was relaunched with a focus on well made, hard-wearing clothing.

In addition to its core ranges, M.C.Overalls will also feature a selection of its collaborative pieces at Harvey Nichols.

“In my first years at work in London in the 90’s, I used to spend hours in the fashion palace that is Harvey Nichols – largely window-shopping. It is therefore a huge pleasure to see our new uniform for contemporary workers and earn a place in its hallowed rails,” said James Scroggs, founder and CEO of the brand.

M.C.Overalls has also a permanent store on Carnaby Street.
