The brand specialised in stretch fibres launched the fourth edition of its 'Lycra Fiber Moves' meeting on 10th March. It is a biennial gathering of brand directors and leaders in the underwear and legwear industries, dedicated to the sector's technological challenges.

Lycra Fiber Moves 2016

After Barcelona and Verona, Italy, the event brought together a selection of 250 executives top managers working at different levels of the industry on the shore of Lake Como for 24 hours.

In addition to offering significant networking opportunities, the event featured a series of talks by experts working for Comercia Global Payments, Euromonitor, GfK, Holition, LinkedIn and Stijlinstituut Amsterdam.

These professionals expressed their views on the central theme of 'Future Forward', addressing all the issues affecting the market: from international consumption trends to the female consumers' perception of footwear, from sourcing issues to sustainable development and technology innovation.

Lycra, Invista's leading brand, as usual took the opportunity to reveal the next generation of its product offering to the participants. Starting with Lycra Fit Finder, a new tool to determine a woman's optimal tights size. Also on show were Lycra AquaNRG, Lycra Super Summer Sheer and Ecomade Coolmax.

In the course of three editions, the Lycra meeting has become one of the key events for the European underwear and legwear industries. These two markets represent respectively 8% and 3% of the approximately €200 billion of apparel sales generated in Europe in 2015.
