Luxury watchmaker Seiko looking to open flagship in London

Published
Apr 26, 2016

Luxury watch manufacturer Seiko has announced plans to launch in the UK with a flagship store in London. The company has recently appointed property consultancy Knight Frank to acquire a boutique between 50 sq m and 100 sq m in Central London to showcase its premier collection – Grand Seiko.

“Grand Seiko is our pinnacle line and we are very excited about the potential of opening a flagship London boutique to showcase the range," said David Harnby, director, sales & marketing, Seiko UK."

"With the Athletics World Championships scheduled for London next summer and with Seiko the official time keeper for the event, there has never been a better opportunity to build on the momentum and excitement around the brand and specifically our Grand Seiko collection."

Last year, the Japanese company celebrated the 55th anniversary of its Grand Seiko timepieces, its signature watch collection.

The London flagship store will build on the brand’s most recent openings, a 35 sq m store in Sydney, Australia launched earlier in March and a boutique in Frankfurt, Germany opened in July last year.
