Luxury Stores At Amazon adds beauty in Europe with Dr Barbara Sturm launch

Luxury Stores at Amazon has launched into beauty in Europe with the debut of Dr Barbara Sturm Molecular Cosmetics, which will be “closely followed by an edit of other luxury brands soon”. 

A selection of over 50 of Dr Sturm's science-led products are available on the site for customers in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. 

As well as boosting the overall beauty offer at Amazon in general, the new arrival will allow Dr Barbara Sturm to expand its distribution in key European markets ahead of other high-end beauty brands joining the luxe platform.

It’s unclear just how quickly the company will grow its beauty offer in Europe as "soon" could mean next month or next year. But growth in beauty will probably be relatively fast given Amazon’s existing experience in the luxury space and its e-tail expertise.

The e-tailer launched its Luxury Stores at Amazon offer in Europe in June, with a selection of international brands including Christopher Kane, Elie Saab and Dundas. That came after the luxe offer was originally unveiled in the US in September 2020.
