After openings in Berlin and Milan, Lush’s new Naked store concept is coming to the UK this month.

The Manchester store will combine elements from the brand's new stores in Milan, Berlin and Tokyo - Lush

The ethical cosmetics company said one of its shops in Manchester is being renovated to showcase its new packaging-free concept, which aims to cut its plastic footprint by selling plastic-free products.

In addition to stocking solid shampoo bars and soaps, the store will use technology to help customers find more information about each product.

Using the recently launched LushLabs app, visitors to the store will be able to scan products using their phone camera to get detailed ingredient information and product demonstrations.

Lush said naked products now represent almost 50% of its core range, and that its new Naked stores in Milan and Berlin have collectively sold almost 8,000 solid shampoo bars since opening at the end of last year.

Located at 10 Market Street in Manchester, the UK’s first Lush Naked store will open its doors on Friday 18 January.

The opening will coincide with the launch of a global Naked Skincare campaign showcasing the brand’s new Naked collection, which includes facial oils, facial cleansers and an eye mask.
