Lululemon Athletica just released a new line of run-focused gear at almost double the price of their current offerings. The three-piece capsule collection is the first collection to come out of the Canadian company’s ‘lab’ concept stores.

The capsule collection includes three pieces – a speed tight (retailing for $298), a racerback tank top (retailing for $68), and a running short (retailing for $148).

The tights retail for significantly more than the rest of Lululemon’s offerings, with the typical run tight sitting at $118 USD. The higher price tag is mainly due to the innovative performance details of the three-piece collection.  The splatter print isn’t just a decorative choice, the print is actually a brand-new double-printed reflective process that allows for a reflective, glittery effect that is ideal for running in the dark. This was created in partnership with Lululemon’s innovation lab.

The Lululemon Lab is a concept store by Lululemon Athletica. The ‘Lab’ concept store has two locations, in Vancouver, British Columbia, and New York City. The latter opened its doors earlier this year. Lululemon Lab is an innovative project for the company. The Lab focuses on running small-scale collaboration with local artists and pushing the design and technology boundaries of the Lululemon brand.

The collection will be sold across Lululemon’s Canadian and U.S. stores, as well as select British brick and mortar stores. It will also be available via the brand’s online platform.
