LuisaViaRoma and French second-hand fashion specialist Vestiaire Collective have teamed up to offer a new resale opportunity to the Florentine concept store's customers, with a focus on circularity and sustainability.

“Promoting positive, innovative circularity projects is a further key step in LuisaViaRoma’s journey towards sustainability,” said Alessandra Rossi, CEO of LuisaViaRoma. “We are proud to collaborate with Vestiaire Collective, viewing the shopping experience with a different outlook. By giving customers the chance to take an active role in circular fashion, LuisaViaRoma is hoping to make more and more people aware of the importance of purchasing and re-selling pre-loved luxury clothes and accessories, and of the need to make responsible choices,” she added.

The joint initiative was launched on May 26 in Italy, and both partners intend to extend it to other European countries in future.

LuisaViaRoma customers will be able to access the partners’ new resale service via a dedicated platform on LuisaViaRoma's website. After uploading the required information, they will be given a quote on their pre-loved product within 48 hours. Once the item in question will have reached one of Vestiaire Collective’s logistics hubs, and will have passed quality and authenticity checks, customers will receive payment, in the form of a LuisaViaRoma gift card, within four working days.

The platform will allow LuisaViaRoma customers to resell handbags, shoes, accessories and clothes by 46 luxury womenswear labels (among them Balenciaga, Dior, Gucci and Prada), with more labels to be added by the end of this year.
