Lucy & Yak to open in Cambridge

Published
Feb 22, 2023

Conscious clothing brand Lucy & Yak is set to open its fifth UK store on 30 March in Cambridge. Located at 36 Green Street in the heart of the city centre it’s close to both Cambridge Market Square and Christ’s College - a student hub surrounded by campuses, shops and restaurants.

Ahead of the official opening day, Lucy & Yak will host an open shopping night for the community, where ‘local Yakkers’ will have the chance to "take a sneak peek at the new space as well as getting to browse the new stock" -  including the soon-to-be-released updated Rainbow range.

The Cambridge store will also act as a ‘Re:Yak’ hub, where customers can trade in their old Yak clothing in return for money off a new item, or have them repaired or upcycled in store - as part of the brand’s initiative aiming to keep clothes in circulation for longer.

Lucy Greenwood, co-founder of Lucy & Yak, said: “The Cambridge launch is another really exciting step for us. We love to have face-to-face time with our Yakkers and can’t wait to set up shop for our community in Cambridge. We have so many exciting launches coming up this year and are looking forward to opening in such a vibrant city.”

The Cambridge launch follows the February opening of its Nottingham store, which joined Bristol, Norwich and Lucy & Yak’s home town of Brighton. Meanwhile, the retailer says it is also planning more UK store openings this year.
