Louis Vuitton x Grace Coddington pop-up opens in Selfridges London
A pop-up store fronted by a large-scale, flame-coloured cat illustration has opened on the ground floor of Selfridges London to showcase Louis Vuitton’s latest artist collaboration, with legendary fashion editor Grace Coddington.
Surrounded by LV logos and animal references, the capsule collaboration spans leather goods, accessories, shoes and ready-to-wear, designed by the Welsh creative director alongside Nicolas Ghesquière.
With illustrations of Coddington’s Persian cats, Pumpkin and Blanket, as well as Nicolas Ghesquière’s dog Leon, the capsule collection is directly inspired by their mutual love of animals. Mouse-printed canvas are used to line the handbags, while Louis Vuitton’s monogram print is reinvented with cat illustrations to create the new Catogram.
The collaboration pre-launched at the exclusive Selfridges pop-up on Friday 26 October, and will continue to be available for purchase at the London department store until 16 January.
Louis Vuitton has also opened a Louis Vuitton x Grace Coddington pop-up store in New York.
