The London Textile Fair said its July show, held between 13-14 July at the Business Design Centre in Islington, attracted its biggest number of exhibitors yet with 420 participating brands and manufacturers.

The biggest show since its launch in 2008 launched this season an additional textile area to accommodate 30 new manufactures, and increased the size of the accessories area.

Exhibitors were predominantly European, with Italy (28%), Turkey (23%), UK (19%), Portugal (9%) and Spain (6%) as the most represented countries. The show is the best occasion European textile and accessories manufacturers have to meet British buyers and the rebooking rate stood at around 95%.

Despite the economic uncertainty, the show registered a consistent number of visitors. About 4,750 visitors attended the two-day event to source from the finest UK and European creations.

The fair said visitors included: Alexander McQueen, Tommy Hilfiger, American Outfitters, Ted Baker, John Lewis, River Island, Asos, Calvin Klein, LACOSTE, Chanel, Dorothy Perkins, Arcadia Group, Harrods, MaxMara, New Look, Monsoon, House of Fraser, ZARA, Victoria Beckham and many more.

The next edition of London Textile Fair will be held on 11-12 January, 2017.
