London's Hawley Wharf Camden boosts beauty offer

London property investment company LabTech has signed eco-conscious salon and spa group Butchers Salon at Hawley Wharf Camden, the emerging 580,000 sq ft mixed-use canal-side development in North London.

 
Comprising 1,175 sq ft with 10 hairdressing and styling chairs, Butchers Salon will be the brand’s third unit in the capital. It’s located on the ground floor of the Hawley Wharf Camden development, joining existing sites in Hoxton and Shoreditch.
 
The latest site claims to encompass “the finest techniques in eco-friendly and ethical hair styling and care, with gender-neutral pricing as well as cruelty-free, plant-based products from renowned natural haircare brand Aveda”.

Founded by Susannah Richardson and Katie Knox, Butchers Salon crafts venues out of wood and raw recycled materials wherever possible. It also supports local communities through events such as mindfulness workshops, charity evenings, pilates and yoga classes, and sustainability talks. 

Visitors to the Camden salon will also be offered a complimentary stress-relieving massage, or chakra balancing ritual, emphasising the brand’s wellness-focus.

Richardson and Knox added: “Since our initial opening in Shoreditch in May 2014, our business has grown from strength-to-strength and we are proud to now be bringing our unique brand of ethical and eco-conscious salon care to Hawley Wharf Camden, an iconic development that opens the door to a brand-new North London audience”.
 
Bordered by Chalk Farm Road to the west and Regent’s Canal to the east, with a prime frontage on Camden High Street, Hawley Wharf Camden’s canal-side development eventually expects to serve the area’s 30 million visitors a year, post-lockdown and with the reinstatement of international travel.
