Liu Jo is staking its claim on European capitals. The Italian label aims to accelerate its international development while giving a boost to its retail network and visibility in major cities. Besides France, where it already has a strong presence, the brand has recently opened stores in Germany, Spain and now in the UK.

While Liu Jo already opened a store in London in the early 2000s, it had since been closed. But the brand is now back in the British capital, specifically at 33 Brompton Road in Knightsbridge.

The 1,500 ft2 flagship includes the brand’s entire womenswear range, including its ready-to-wear line, its jeans, footwear, accessories, etc. The store, designed by architectural firm Christopher Goldman Ward, will serve to showcase the brand’s diversification in recent seasons.

In late September, Liu Jo also opened its first store in Madrid (and third in Spain), on Calle de Serrano.

Whether directly owned or operated as franchises, in total Liu Jo has 320 monobrand points of sale on three continents and 5,500 multibrand retailers. In 2013, the brand generated a turnover of 281 million euros (£223m/$349m).
