Lipsy links with Mary Katrantzou for second collab
As designer label collaborations continue to be key for mass-market brands Mary Katrantzou and Next-owned Lipsy are linking up for a second collection with a new curation of power prints and statement silhouettes designed “for every date in the diary”.
Lipsy said that “Mary Katrantzou’s illustrious print-led design expertise” and its own leading high-street styling mean “the blending of both brands’ DNA has proven to be the perfect partnership”.
Its the second collaboration for the high street brand with the high-end designer label and is particularly interesting because the previous collab was Lipsy’s very first entry into the designer realm.
The company said that first collection was a success last May so it’s returning for another spring/summer offer this year.
It’s good timing with Katrantzou’s signature designs working well in warm weather, for special occasions and for holiday dressing.
The 20-piece edit comes with prices starting at only £20 and includes “scene-stealing dresses and chic separates to bold, beach-ready staples”.
They reinvent archival Katrantzou prints and include the Seed Packet Shirt Dress, and the Paint By Numbers top, as well as midis and minis, tea dresses and holiday essentials, snakeskin-inspired beachwear, swimwear and essentials in rainbow-hued florals.
The collection is available exclusive on the UK and international Next webstores.
