Limited Brands’ same-store sales up 14%

Limited Brands Inc. (Victoria's Secret, Pink, La Senza, etc) reported a same-store sales increase of 14% for the five weeks ended April 2nd 2011, compared to the same period in 2010. The company also reported net sales of $863.0 million against $746.9 million last year.

As for the nine week period ended April 2nd 2011, Limited Brands registered a 13% growth in comparable store sales and net sales of $1.534 billion, compared to $1.347 billion during the nine weeks ended April 3, 2010.

The apparel company currently operates nearly 3,000 stores, with 2,636 specialty stores in the United States and more than 800 company-operated and franchised additional locations worldwide.

For the near future, Limited Brands has plans to open a Victoria’s Secret flagship store in 2012. This will be the Group’s first one in Europe.
