Liberty promotes Ritchie to Group Buying Director

Gina Ritchie has been named the Group Buying Director of British luxury department store retailer Liberty.

Ritchie was promoted to Buying Director for Beauty, Jewellery and Accessories in August last year, from her role as Head of Beauty and Accessories. She has been with the company since 2009 and previously worked for Harvey Nichols and Harrods.

In her new role, Ritchie will report to Ed Burstell, Liberty's Managing Director. A spokesperson for the retailer said Ritchie looks forward to starting her job as Group Buying Director across all categories. She will "continue to grow Liberty’s reputation as a premium destination for new brands and unique collections across all buying and merchandising departments, including beauty and accessories as well as Fashion and Homeware," the spokesperson said.

Liberty just unveiled its latest collaboration with Nike, which is called ‘Dawn Meadow’ and takes its cues from a set of botanical drawings from the extensive Liberty archive.
