After its installation in Le Marais last March, the independent French fashion house Lemaire has returned to its boutique at 1 Rue Elzévir in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris to host its first Parisian exhibition dedicated to Indonesian artist Noviadi Angkasapura.

Christophe Coenon - Lemaire

Until July 6, visitors can admire 25 original artworks created using ballpoint pens, graphite, and coloured pencils. The brand is also presenting its Spring-Summer 2023 collection for women, men, and unisex, inspired by the art brut universe referenced in the exhibition.

The newly reimagined boutique, spanning 340 square metres, has been carefully designed to showcase the captivating artworks that have influenced Lemaire's latest collection.

As you step into the boutique, you will be greeted by the artist's works displayed on tables, providing a glimpse into Noviadi Angkasapura's artistic journey. The basement of the boutique has also been transformed into an exhibition space.

Designed by artistic directors Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran, the collection, which is made from sustainably sourced cotton, is a fusion of diverse influences and features the artist's palimpsest prints. The garments and accessories, including scarves (starting at 110 euros), shorts, tops, shirts, a dress (at 1,250 euros), a blanket, and a bag are available in all Lemaire stores and select retail locations,

This exhibition, produced by Lemaire (which is also part of the Japanese group Fast Retailing), was carried out with the support of Cavin-Morris Gallery in New York, the owner of the artworks.
