Laings to debut mono-brand Omega showroom in Cardiff

Watches and jewellery continue to be hot retail sectors in the UK, and more so for Laings which is expanding its high-end presence in Cardiff. It is to debut an 838 sq ft monobrand Omega showroom in the city at the St David’s shopping centre in early spring.

Following a 60-year relationship with the Swiss watch brand, the opening signals further development for the Laings business as part of its UK-wide expansion plan. 
As its first monobrand showroom, this is the latest investment for the family business to build itself as a leading destination for luxury jewellery and watches, it said.

It is expected that the showroom, situated across from the Laings Cardiff showroom at The Hayes, will also present “pioneering” training opportunities for employees at all levels, while offering a new luxury in-store experience for its Cardiff customers, it added.

Stuart McDowell, managing director of Laings, said: “We firmly believe that creating immersive luxury brand environments is key to unlocking the full potential of our retail experiences as we revolutionise the way our clients connect with our brands. 

“We’re now looking to extend this outside of our traditional showroom setting with our first mono-brand showroom.”

Cardiff is already an established key location for the business, following a £3 million investment into its existing showroom at St David’s earlier this year.
