L'Oréal Paris named on Tuesday actress Katherine Langford as the beauty brand’s newest international spokesperson.

Katherine Langford - L'Oréal Paris

Best known for her part as Hannah Baker on the show '13 Reasons Why', the 24-year-old will star in L'Oréal Paris campaigns for Air Mascara and Casting Crème Gloss as of this year, as part of her new role with the L’Oréal family.

The brand said it chose Katherine as an international spokesperson as she embodies the values of L'Oréal Paris with her positivity, her talent, and her convictions.

"We are thrilled to welcome Katherine to the L'Oreal Paris family,” said global brand president, Delphine Viguier-Hovasse.

“She is a role model, a talented and confident young woman using her platform for positive influence. Katherine's star will only continue to rise. As a young radiant heroine who encourages people to believe in themselves, she's the perfect spokesperson to embody our signature brand message: we are all worth it."

Born in Perth, Australia, Katherine was a nationally ranked swimmer who studied both music and drama, before her career launched on 13 Reasons Why.

She followed that breakout role with the teen romantic comedy-drama, 'Love, Simon'. She equally appeared in the star-studded thriller 'Knives Out', in 2019, and will star in the TV series 'Cursed', launching this summer.

"L'Oréal Paris is the brand that creates what's next in beauty with an essential message: everyone is worth it. It is all about learning how to love yourself, how to be bold, how to be confident,” said Langford, in a news statement.

“People my age should not be afraid to be themselves, because that's what makes us beautiful. When you know you are worth it, you live your life to the fullest. Having always valued empowerment, I can say that I am very grateful to be part of such an inspiring group of women spokespersons."

Langford joins other celebrities like Celine Dion, Helen Mirren, Eva Longoria, Elle Fanning, Aja Naomi King, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Camila Cabello, among others, in representing the brand globally.
