The cosmetics giant has signed up Elle Fanning as a new international spokesperson. This was confirmed by the American actress, who shared the news on social media. 

A few days ago, L'Oréal Paris -- an official partner of the Cannes Film Festival -- announced that a new ambassador would be joining the brand during this year's festival fortnight. The name of the new spokesperson has now been revealed two days before the glamorous event kicks off in the French Rivera resort.

Elle Fanning has officially joined the club as the brand's latest "Lorealista" in a prestigious line-up of international ambassadors. The star, who is just 19 years old, will make her debut for the brand at the Cannes Film Festival, where she also stars in Sofia Coppola's in-competition movie "The Beguiled."

The star will be joined in Cannes by a host of other L'Oréal Paris international brand ambassadors, including Gong Li, Susan Sarandon, Deepika Padukone, Thylane Blondeau, Liya Kebede, Andie MacDowell, Eva Longoria, Doutzen Kroes, Bianca Balti, Barbara Palvin, Lara Stone and Maria Borges.

She may only be 19 years old, but Elle Fanning has already starred in several movies, including "The Neon Demon," "Maleficent," "Super 8" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
