Alexander Hay, who joined French beauty giant L’Oréal in 2003, has been appointed general manager of the brands of the group’s consumer products division, which notably include L’Oréal Paris and Garnier. He was also made a member of the division’s executive committee and will report to Céline Brucker, general manager France of the consumer products division.

Hay is taking over with immediate effect from Martin Crosnier, whose new role “will be announced at a later date,” as L’Oréal stated in a press release.

Since October 2019, Hay had been the consumer products division’s chief transformation officer, working under the division’s General Manager Alexis Perakis-Valat.

Hay joined L’Oréal 18 years ago, and the majority of the positions he occupied have been at the international level. He was appointed marketing director of Garnier in Spain in 2008, and in 2010 he became director of global marketing for L’Oréal Paris. In 2012, he joined L’Oréal’s cosmetics distribution company LaScad, and a year later he was appointed general manager consumer products at L’Oréal Colombia. He later became country general manager at L’Oréal Denmark, and then president of the consumer products division of L’Oréal Canada.
