L'Oréal: Skingsley to take up role of Non- Exec Chairman for UK & Ireland

On Tuesday the cosmetics giant L'Oréal announced that the company’s current Executive Vice-President of the Africa & Middle East zone, Geoff Skingsley, will be leaving his post to be appointed Non- Executive Chairman of L’Oréal UK & Ireland subsidiary.

Skingsley, who has been at L’Oréal since 1986, will be replaced by Alexandre Popoff as of June 1st.

Geoff Skingsley is a British national and an Oxford graduate who joined L’Oréal Paris’ marketing team in the UK in the mid-eighties. He is a powerful developer who has strongly contributed to L’Oréal’s growth in terms of business, building highly qualified multicultural teams.

L’Oréal's fifth largest subsidiary, the division for UK & Ireland, was established in 1932 and is headquartered in Hammersmith, London and Dublin, Ireland with distribution centres and satellite offices in Birmingham, Bury, Manchester, Nottingham and South Wales. The business is currently led by Managing Director, Michel Brousset, responsible for the company in the region since August 2013.
