Klarna to open experiential retail store in Manchester
Oct 2, 2019
After a successful inaugural event in London, payments provider Klarna is taking its House of Klarna physical shopping experience to Manchester this week.
Opening on 4-13 October, the pop-up will bring together a host of Klarna brand partners including high street names and online pureplays to show consumers how to use its ‘Pay later’ service at checkout.
The European financial services firm said earlier this week that 50,000 new customers are choosing ‘Pay later’ at retailer checkouts every week.
The three-storey House of Klarna at 35 Kings Street will open its doors with a VIP launch party on 3 October. Visitors will find fashion, beauty and lifestyle products from Asos, Oliver Bonas, Topshop, Topman, House of Holland, Missguided, Beauty Bay, My Protein and Schuh, as well as a sustainable hub and space for beauty treatments.
Live DJ sets and a Klarna Kafé offering free sodas and coffee will help create an immersive experience.
Klarna hosted its first physical pop-up store in London’s Covent Garden in June. The payments app registered over 12 million transactions in the past year.
