Kiton has strengthened its management team, aiming for faster international expansion. The Neapolitan menswear label, which has diversified into womenswear too, has announced the introduction of the post of Executive Vice President, which was entrusted to Marco Pirone, General Manager of Louis Vuitton Italy since 2012.

The top manager will become operational from 1st September 2016. He will be in charge of developing the retail channel, marketing operations, communications and licenses.

"We are about to enter a crucial phase, in which we will focus vigorously on boosting and expanding our direct sales network. Marco is the man chosen to lead our international strategic decision-making," explained Kiton's CEO, Antonio De Matteis, in a press release.

Before joining Louis Vuitton, Marco Pirone was Vice-President and EMEA General Manager at Estée Lauder. Before then, between 2000 and 2005, Naples-born Pirone worked at L'Oréal, which he joined from Sector watches.

Kiton generates a revenue of approximately €115 million, and operates 52 mono-brand stores worldwide.
